Excellent trap June 17, 2009 Friendly Reviewer (UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
Having had mice for a while, I found this trap excellent. Not only have I succeded in catcing several mice at a time (before it was one a night), it is also the only one where I have not found the bait gone and no mouse (this happened sometimes with the 'trip-trap' style catchers, and all the time with the 'balance' style catchers). As such, I really recommend it. Also, as one reviewer had no luck: follow the instucions, place it on a wall, with the entrances wall side, and the mice will go itn - its not that they're not interested in this trap, but they need to find a way in!). In my experience nuts and chocolate make the best bait.
A humane mousetrap that leaves everyone happy February 1, 2010 Genuine Jane (Scotland) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I had previously tried the humane single mousetraps but always felt terribly guilty at the distressed appearance of the poor creatures when I let them out. One even died before I had a chance to release it and looked as if it had had a terrible experience. These multiple mousetraps offer the mice far more space to move about and I add sawdust and hay, as I have a supply for my daughter's pet guinea pigs, which makes a much more comfortable and appealing environment for the mice. One or two of the mice have managed to curl up and fall asleep in the trap, which is otherwise a rather cold, bare space for a poor, distressed mouse. It also makes cleaning the traps out afterwards much easier. I add a swipe of peanut butter onto a discarded juice carton lid and some bird food and I have caught 7 mice so far in the space of a month or so. I had been hearing their scratchings and scuttlings all over the house, particularly at night, between the floors, behind the walls and above the ceiling and I was really wondering how I was going to be able to catch any of them. I bought two traps and put one in the adjoining garage and one in the attic but despite checking every day for three weeks, there were no mice caught. Suddenly one weekend, there were three, then a gap of two weeks, then another three, then a gap of a week, then I caught another one, so obviously the thing is to be patient but check the traps two or three times a day. Of course, most mouse activity is at night so it is important to check them first thing in the morning. I leave the mice in the traps and drive them to a local beauty spot beside a river to release them, where I think the habitat will be suitable. The mice I am catching are wood mice and they are incredibly cute so I am concerned to place them in a nice woodland environment away from houses with cats and to give them time to adapt to their new surroundings. Altogether I am very pleased with the traps, which are a great improvement on the single traps.
Seems Very Humane November 8, 2008 Dazekat (UK) 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
Just caught my second mouse with one of these and it seems very effective and humane - much more so than the small tilting plastic one I had before (the mouse I let out of this one had a very damp and stressed look to it). If you put food and a lidful of water in the trap it doesn't need to be checked every three or four hours either - you can sleep overnight or go out with a clear conscience. An old toilet roll core gives the mouse somewhere relaxed to hang out.
gentle multi-mouse trap September 7, 2009 Mrs. A. Wells (Kent, UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The multi trap was placed under a cupboard in the kitchen where there had been evidence of a visiting mouse with a square of chocolate and a plastic bottle lid with water. The first morning, we had our first guest who had pretty much eaten all the chocolate so we presume the mouse had been there most of the night. Two more mice were arrested within the following week. The trap was very easy to use and for anyone squeemish, it really does seem to be a pretty humane way of dealing with mice. However, the instructions say that the trap should be checked every two hours and not left out overnight. I appreciate that spending long periods in the trap might be more traumatic for a mouse but in our experience the only time the mice surfaced was at night - we wouldn't have had any success if only used in the daytime.
An excellent buy! July 26, 2009 J. Redhead (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought this product based on other reviews. Caught 2 mice on first night by putting chocolate and peanut butter on the floor of the trap. Easy to release and mice didnt seem unhappy whilst in the trap.
