Best grinder out there July 3, 2007 DP (Berkshire) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I really hope Krups continue this model for a very long time. Its perfect for every day use. We use it to grind 2 cups of coffee 2 x a day. It does it perfectly each time, going all the way to a fine grind. Emptying the result into the machine is simply a matter of shaking and taking off the lid.
Without a doubt the best grinder I've seen.
Krups - keep it going!
Great for grinding spices August 23, 2006 RedZnappa (UK) 36 out of 37 found this review helpful
This little machine is superb at grinding spices to powder.
It doesn't have a removable bowl but not a problem once everything is ground,(10-20 seconds) I tip all into the lid, which acts as a little bowl & use a pastry brush to get the rest of the spice mixture out.
I then wipe clean with a damp paper towel, easy as that.
I havn't used it to grind wet ingredients, for this I use a handlender. These two items together really compliment each other & are all you need to create quick, easy & tasty curry pastes, as well as saving a lot of hassle meesing around with a pestle & mortar
Im sure its really useful for coffee to :)
Krups Twin Blade Coffee Mill July 23, 2009 Mr. P. Tyndall 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Krups Twin Blade Coffee Mill
I bought this product for grinding spices ,i make a lot of curry paste and used to use a hand coffee grinder and turning that handle for one and a half hours really is a pain , so when i saw this my eyes lit up . I read the reviews and went ahead and bought it.When it arrived the first seed i chose was Funegreek which are like very little stones , well was i impressed ,ground down to powder no problem, this is the best little grinder there is , the only gripe is cleaning it, the top is easy ,but the base is attached and doesn`t come away so just a bit awkward but not that bad and worth it for what it does .
i would recommend this to anyone who wants to grind spices , coffee it a little marvel .
Hope this helps .
Best buy! March 23, 2007 Mello (UK) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
This is an excellent mill grinder - far better than others for more money (my daughter has another make and the Krups is far better). It grinds finely enough for cafetieres, is robust and well made and the Amazon price with free delivery is a bargain.
Simply perfect coffee December 31, 2007 M. Harrison (London, UK) 24 out of 25 found this review helpful
I only have one cup of coffee a day - but it has to be the best. I enjoy the ritual of trying to make the perfect cup. This grinder makes that goal consistently achievable.
It is small, neat, attractive (mine is black), well designed, simple to the point of basic - and effective. I use a stove top espresso maker, and this grinds beautifully fine, which makes the espresso machine really have to work to force through the coffee. The result is strong, smooth coffee - perfect to add milk to, or to have black. Most importantly, I now get better cups of coffee than before I owned it.
A really pleasing product.
